Perfect for celebrating birthdays, hen parties, family reunions or hosting your own private retreat, our vintage caravans are nestled in a wildflower meadow – near enough to be able to visit each other but carefully and discreetly placed to make each van its own private haven.

Groups will love having the run of the glampsite to themselves. Gather round the campfire with friends and family or dine in glorious splendour in our summer kitchen complete with banquet table, cosy woodburner, candles and seating for up to 20 people.

Hen Parties

If you’re looking for a hen-tastic party with a difference then our boutique glampsite offers a truly original hen weekend that you and your best friends will remember forever. Stay in our gorgeous vintage caravans, each with their own character, gather round the campfire and feast on a 3 course dinner in the summer kitchen which is always warm and toasty with its log burning stove. Whether you’re looking for a slice of vintage heaven, a laid back mini-festival vibe or just a unique location for your hens, Mad Dogs is yours exclusively for the weekend.

We’ll help you tailor make your hen party so that it’s the stuff of a bride’s dream. Kick back onsite and take in the amazing views and sunsets or head for the River Wye or Forest of Dean for action-packed adventures. Do as much or as little as you want but whatever you decide, we’re here to help you plan your weekend every step of the way.

Our bespoke hen parties start from £175 per person (based on a minimum of 12). Small, midi and larger party options are available. Just ask.

Wild Dining

We love to cook and can offer dishes from simple one pot home cooked meals like curries and chillis through to hearty hangover brunches and three course wild dining feasts, served to you in our atmospheric candlelit summer kitchen. All our food is freshly made and uses seasonal ingredients from the Old Rectory organic veg garden.

Herefordshire is rightly renowned for its artisan cider and we are delighted to serve prize winning ciders from local producers Greggs Pit.

The Perfect Location

We are situated in the heart of the AONB that is the Wye Valley, a half mile from the beautiful River Wye and a short drive from national landmarks like the Forest of Dean, the Malvern Hills and the Brecon Beacons national park.

For the adventurous, we can arrange canoeing, kayaking, mountain biking, horse riding, climbing, abseiling, gorge walking and stand-up paddleboarding. Or take advantage of the tennis court on site and book pampering treatments with our holistic therapist. We can also arrange for gin and cider masterclasses with award winning local artisan makers.
