Wrap up, ditch the restaurant with the naff tablecloth and overpriced menu and head for the great outdoors. Nothing beats cooking and cuddling up round a real campfire. Here’s our fave Mad Dogs loved up recipe:

Campfire Fondue
Take your favourite soft or semi soft whole cheese (camembert, vacherin, cambozola or the like). Pierce cheese in several places with a fork and place in tin foil. Splash over some Armagnac or Calvados so it seeps into the holes. Loosely wrap and place in hot embers of fire (not direct flame). Turn foil package occasionally and check after 10 mins. Remove when cheese is soft and melting. Serve with hot crusty baguette or boule and get dunking.. Mmmmmmm.
